What do you enjoy most about your role?
It has to be the lovely people we have the pleasure of treating and the relationships we build up with our patients over the years.
I also love the fact that as dentists we can be both clinician and artist. There's nothing better than creating a beautiful smile and helping people feel better about themselves.
What makes you happy?
My family, my friends and my garden.
What do you do in your spare time?
I run a personal taxi-service for my children, help with my local girl-guide unit and I enjoy gardening, cooking and socialising with friends. On holiday I love to ski and read a good book - but not at the same time. I am also a sucker for a reality TV programme!
What would you be if you weren't a dentist?
I would have to use my hands and do something creative. I am fascinated by history and forensics so I'd like to be the person that recreates faces with modelling clay from ancient fragments of skulls.
If you were an animal what would you be?
Definitely something that hibernated so that I could curl up and sleep all winter and stay up partying all summer.
What 3 words would you use to sum you up?
Creative, loyal, easy-going.
