A veneer is a thin layer of tooth-coloured material that is applied to the front of a tooth to make it look better. They can vastly improve the appearance of damaged, misshapen or discoloured teeth. Veneers are usually made out of porcelain in a dental laboratory and bonded to the tooth with a very strong adhesive. This teatment requires some tooth preparation and impressions of the teeth are required.
