Orthodontics

Orthodontics is for everyone. It is never too late to fix crooked teeth.

Whatever your concerns, no matter how big or small, we can help you achieve a smile you can be proud of. We offer a number of different options for both adults and children to suit your goals and your budget.

Fully comprehensive orthodontics

This type of treatment is carried out by our Specialist Orthodontist’s who have undergone years of training and are highly experienced in this field of dentistry. The aim of fully comprehensive orthodontics is to correct the positions of all of the teeth to give the most ideal bite and appearance. We would always recommend that children and teenagers have this type of orthodontics and it is common now for adults who missed out on orthodontics when they were younger to be treated in this way too. Modern braces can be tooth-coloured so that they are barely noticeable and you will be able to smile with confidence throughout your treatment.

Short term orthodontics for adults

Kate2-6msIf your chief concern is simply to improve the appearance of the teeth that show when you smile, then you may be suitable for a more conservative approach. Short term orthodontics is primarily concerned with aligning the front teeth and can be carried out by our dentists who are trained in using these types of systems. As we do not seek to make major changes to the way the teeth bite together, treatment times are shorter and that really is something to smile about!

invisalign

if you are looking for a discrete alternative to traditional fixed braces then invisalign can provide a solution.

invisalign clear alignerInvisalign braces are an innovative way of straightening your teeth. The near invisible aligners fit comfortably over your teeth, gently guiding them into their new position. Treatment time varies dependent largely on the severity of the initial problem, but generally can run from three to four months up to two years. The series of aligners are entirely see- through, which makes them almost invisible. They are very easy to live with because they allow for normal function and speech. The aligners, which gradually move your teeth into better positions, are worn all the time except when eating and cleaning.

invisalign treatment plan that is made for you

Before a treatment plan can be created, your Invisalign Provider will take an impression of your teeth to check whether they can be straightened using the Invisalign System. Once confirmed, a detailed treatment plan will then be developed using ClinCheck®, our virtual 3D treatment plan. ClinCheck shows the series of movements your teeth are projected to go through over the course of the treatment – so you can see how your teeth are expected to look at the end of your Invisalign treatment before it even begins.

smiling every step of the way

When you begin your Invisalign treatment, you will wear each set of custom-made aligners in two-week increments. As you progress through the series of aligners, your teeth will begin moving, little by little, gradually moving towards the projected final position.

During this time you will have occasional check-ups with your Invisalign Provider in order to monitor your progress and ensure you are comfortable with the treatment

designed to fit your lifestyle

The time it takes to complete the treatment varies from person to person, depending on the complexity of each straightening issue. It is important to speak with your Invisalign Provider to determine how Invisalign best suits your situation and goals, and to agree the best way forward for you.
